About 1 cup each of the different herbs and enough olive oil to

cover them completely....usually amount to at least 1 quart ( litre )

After the mixture is done simmering for 10 hours or so, you strain

out the herbs ( throw them out ) and add in about 1/4 cup of raw

unpasturised bees wax. It's hard to measure this because the beeswax

is usually very hard and you have to break it off in chunks.

Once you finish, as per the rest of the instructions you pour this

into clean containers before it cools off too much ( I buy mine at a

candle and soap making supply store ) and then just use it like a

regular salve. With the cracked heels I would apply a generous

amount and then put cotton socks on to keep it there. I guess at

night before you go to bed would be the best , then you wouldn't be

walking it off.
