[lists] Herbal Remedies - Re: deep cracks in heels

Sure, I don't mind at all.I try to pick the "weeds" fresh if I can, if not I'll get them from an organic store that carries herbs bulk. Sorry my measurements aren't exact...I kind've made this up on my own and was just surprised at how helpful it was.Equal amounts of yarrow, chickweed, plantain.(about 1 cup )Cover with virgin olive oil ( 1 litre ) and simmer ( do not boil ) in slow cooker for 10 - 12 hours ( depending on how busy I am )Strain and (throw out the greens) add in enough raw unpastuerised beeswax (about 1/2 cup ) This will thicken as soon as it begins to cool and give you the salve texture. The more beeswax you put in the thicker it gets. The raw beeswax also has very helpful healing qualities so it's not just for a thickening agent. When the mixture has cooled off to just warm I will add in a few drops of essential oil such as Lavender, Rosemary and Clove ( this helps for pain relief)The next batch I make I will add in oil of cinammon since it is also very useful in muscle relaxing. This is the basic plan. From here you can experiment on your own and find what works best for you.Good Luck!SaraHello,> On this list we are used to people sharing their recipes, so why don't you > post the recipe for making this salve?
