Guest guest
Cathy, This is probably not what is happening with your dad but I thought maybe I should write in and just report what happened to my father who is 75. My father had something similar begin to occur in October of 2005...it got progressively worse, much more raspy, until we found out in January he has prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Looking back we should have been able to figure out by the other symptoms he was having that something was up. He is now on anti androgen deprivation therapy and Zometa for the bone cancer and his voice is back to normal, no hoarse sounding at all. Hope you can figure out why your dad's voice is raspy. My Dad voice hs been getting progressivly raspy...no pain, no sore throat, just the voice getting more and more raspy...the only new med that he is on is the one for gout...he is and has been on several meds for his high chloresterol (sp?), blod pressure, and a few others I don't have at my fingertips right now... any clues? cathy & Dad
