Hi, Monica, I haven't a clue to your question on baths helping my PVC's, as I'm a shower person...mainly due to yeast issues... I have them pretty severe mainly at night when I'm settling down for the night...they sometimes last a few minutes...to sometimes nearly all night...I do feel them sporadically throughout the day, but they don't seem as bad...maybe because I'm up & moving about...I don't have them every night, thankfully, but they don't seem to have a so to say trigger...which makes them even harder to deal with... I'm not sure in which direction your question is being directed...are you saying you have heard warm baths help...I'm willing to try anything at ths point... Looking forward to hearing back from you... Sorry I hit the wrong group for this here mailing I sent a while ago...I have really gotta get some rest...lol... As long as you all now know my life story..lol... does anyone have any herbal ideas/input on the various heart conditions known as Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP,) Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC's,) & Premature Atrial Contractions (PAC's.) I have all three of them and the drs are saying they cannot help me...None are supposedly life threatenig, thankfully...just it's hard to tolerate hours of heart flutterings... Robin, I'm not sure, but I believe Monica is just trying to find

out, IF you RELAX do the palpitations get better. I posted earlier,

but can't find my post. I have MVP and had posted that " Hawthorne

Berry " has done wonders for this. It is used for all types of heart

conditions. You do notice them more when you are not moving about as

much, but when you focus on them they get worse because even if you

don't think you are worrying about them, you generally still are.

Hawthorne will help dialiate the vessels and the Mitral Valve will

not be as annoying. Hope this helps! From one type A personality to

Probably another one, Right? Take Care!!!

Robin, I'm not sure, but I believe Monica is just trying to find out, IF you RELAX do the palpitations get better.

Actually, from my husband's experience MVP gets much worse when he relaxes. The warm bath question came in because we discovered that his MVPs settled down and even went away while he relaxed in a warm bath. He used to try to sleep like that when he was desperate because the MVP would aggitate him so much he couldn't sleep otherwise.

We discovered a friend of mine with the same exact experience with MVP as well so it isn't just a weird fluke.

They discussed this at length and compared experiences and finally determined that the trigger for both of them was actually a muscle in their back. When they did something that strained that muscle in any way it would tighten up and this would effect the other muscles close by - In this case it was the heart. They tested it out and found it to be true. She used to keep a hot water bottle in the car so she could fill it in an emergency to relax that muscle and settle her heart down just from lifting groceries - free coffee - anything!! to get some relief. Emotional stress was a trigger as well - the back muscles would tighten up from stress as well and the warm bath always helped until he was able to be calm emotionally and physically again- Usually a few days later.

Soooo - I'm still curious if a bath would help.

OOPs - Caught me. Sent before I proof read or signed!

I was actually talking about his Pre Ventricular Contractions - Not_ his Mitral Valve Prolapse. I always called them MVPs and drove him nuts too, so now I've been caught out!

Red faced, Monica
