Need help please - 6 yr. old has Pink Eye

My son has what looks to be pink eye. He's rubbing it and says it itches

terribly, says it hurts when he closes his eye, it's red and discharging a

cheesy like greenish yellow goo. He doesn't have a fever, no cough or cold

symptoms, just the nasty gooey eye. I'm looking for something to relieve it

and heal it up. Any suggestions?

I did an eyebright tea with my kids when they had pink eye. Worked well.

Make a tea (like for drinking) and wait for it to cool off. Then use it for

eye drops. I think 2 or 3 times a day is what I did.

Try some antiseptic tinctures as well, so his immune system gets a boost to care for the infection, none come to mind but look online
