Guest guest
Sounds like he has damage done to his esophagus like I do, and I'm working on it. I'm sipping slippery elm water throughout the day, taking DGL waffers before bedtime, and some other things. It appears that acid reflux continues to damage the esophagus, so I'm taking everything easy. I won't even go for a walk after dinner because the stomach acid and food come right up into the esophagus and rips it apart. I"m trying many things to heal the cause of the acid reflux since I know that unless that heals the esophagus won't. I'm taking Cayenne and garlic in the AM and PM, Collidal Siliver also in the AM and PM. I drink Green Tea 3 times a day to get rid of those radicals, and I'm taking L-Glutamine to help rebuild good cells 3 times a day. I've noticed that if I go for a bike ride on an empty stomach then I produce acid that burns it's way up out of the stomach. If I eat lunch (which is oatmeal and cabbage shredded up real fine) and ride the bike 3 hours later the stomach acid and any food contents burn it's way up. That seems to undo the healing that's taken place. I don't know how long this will take to heal, but I've decided to take it easy for a few months to see what happens.Glenda <glendamckee wrote: I have never heard os accidolphilus pills but I'm going to print up your email and take it to the natural health shop near here and see if they can give me some help with these products. Guest guest
Hi David! Your symptoms are the same as mine were only I took Prilosec for over a year until it backfired on me. First you have to re-balance your gut with papaya enzymes and acidophilus, or just Cabbage Juice from the files. Second you need to take a body balance of Panther Piss (Apple Cider Vinegar + Molasses, ½ each from the Files) about four tablespoons twice daily. Third you need to drink a mixture of Ginger root + Fennel seed + Calendula flowers (1/3 ea) teas all day long. Really helps puts the fire out. I make my teas with a drip coffee maker with a teaspoon of each in a 12 cup pot. I will add honey often especially when allergies flare up with extra mucus in my lungs. And of course try looking at Doc’s acid/alkaline diet intake from the Files. If my heartburn comes back after eating tomato sauce foods I just take a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water. Bicarbonate of Soda (baking soda) also helps balance the positive and negative acidity valence and will make you belch excess gas. It took me about 2-3 weeks to settle down and today I take two teaspoons of Panther Piss - Body Balance twice daily. Occasionally I need a teaspoon of baking soda but my GERD has been cured. My esophagus has healed completely too. I also take CS when needed. I try not to have my body develop a needed or rely on situation by adding too many things to it. I do try and heal problems and then stop the regimen so my body can work naturally. ********************************************************* " David the Beloved " david_m_20782 Sun Apr 23, 2006 4:32am(PDT) Re: Heart Burn/Gas Help needed Sounds like he has damage done to his esophagus like I do, and I'm working on it. Guest guest
Glenda, Very definitely worth trying!! I can't remember what the remedy was - I think it started with 'm' . but I will get Catherine to dig out the kit and book and I'll go through it again to see if I can find the same one. I will let you know. Regards. Gerry Gerry Moloney (Lecturer) Computing Dept., ITCarlow, Ireland. Thankyou so much for this idea. I am very fortunate because if my local health shop doesn't have it they will order it in for me . I believe in homopathic remedies. I have seen them work a few times. I think I have a list of homepathic symptoms & the corresponding remedy that goes with them here somewhere so I am going to see what that says and then see what the health shop says and come up with something. Thankyou so much. I hadn't thought of homopathic at all. I'm glad you don't suffer from the acid reflux anymore - it sounds like you were in a lot of pain when it struck. My brother-in-law lives on Gaviscon as well although we've never thought to try chocolate. Its worth a try too! Thankyou Glenda - Gerry Moloney <gerry.moloney herbal remedies Friday, April 21, 2006 4:55 PM RE: Herbal Remedies - Heart Burn/Gas Help needed Glenda, I had the very same problem - severe heartburn and burping, for several years. I lived on Gaviscon which used to relieve it. Also chocolate used to relieve it - strangely - I put on weight eating chocolate just to get relief from the heartburn (seriously!). However one night at 3am I was so bad and couldn;t sleep my wife got out her homeopathy box and said we'll try this. She just dabbled a little bit in homeopathy for the children (had a beginner's kit type of thing!) - but I didn;t believe in at all. We went through the symptoms and one asked whether cold air gave me any relief. I recognised that one straight away because I used to go out the back doorr and stand there for a few minutes to get some cooll air which used to relieve the heartburn also. So Catherine gave me the homeopathy pill indicated by that symptom. As true as I am sitting here typing this email my heartburn was gone completely 15-30mins later and I have NEVER had it since. I couldn''t believe it and can hardly believe it still!!!!!!!! That is 4 or 5 years ago. So my homeopathy skepticism disappeared. Mind you I haven't studied much about it since - but if can do for other things what it did for my heartburn ................. well, we should all be converts. I later asked a homeopath I met about what was in those pills - he explained the basics which I have forgotton but I remember he said some are extracts of snake venom!! So who knows. Perhaps they have an immediate effect on the immune system. In any case there is no question it worked straight away for me. Worth trying. Regards. He was up all last evening with the pain. I swear, I thought he was having a heart attack but he has been checked and his heart is fine and his general health is good. Now I know the doctor is going to give him some of those 'purple pills' or other such treatments for the gas and heartburn and I really don't want to see him going that route - the side effects are frightening on some of those treatments. Does anyone know any way to help him with this Gas/Heartburn problem? I almost have him convinced to do a cleanse and I have him taking some probiotic powder but other than that he's been taking Rolaids, Pepcid and Pepto-Bismal ... not a greatw ay to handle the problem Thankyou so much Glenda Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
Papaya tablets ... my brother-in-law would be willing to try them.Thankyou for the suggestion. I do apologize for not replying sooner. I was away on a quick business trip and have another one scheduled for next week. This group gives me lots of email to catch up on my reading when I come home. Thankyou! - Melisa herbal remedies Sunday, April 23, 2006 1:29 AM Re: Herbal Remedies - Re: Heart Burn/Gas Help needed the acidophilus is great like you say but seems to help more if you take it daily regardless. for more immediate relief try papaya tablets. they work great and tasty too. also usually only like 3 dollars for a bottle and are easily available where you get any vitamins. or you can just get the real fruit of course. I could never eat even marinara sauce because I'd get such agony but I went on the yeast diet - got rid of the excess in my guts and now I can eat anything anytime. I could probably eat a huge plate of hto wings and go right to sleep, not that I want to try to lol , but I havent had heartburn unless I overate ever since I did that. should check out the book "the yeast connection". you would be amazzed!!! melisa
Guest guest
You are doing so many wonderful things to help your body ! I don't think my brother-in-law is that dedicated at this point - he'll need to reach an emergency stage and then maybe he'll listen. He is doing some of the suggestions and I'm hoping he'll come round to trying the others slowly but surely. I wish you well. Guest guest
Not to be too blunt, but if he doesn't start on it now he'll wish he had. If I had known what was happening to me at the beginning I would have started this routine then. This is so painful and miserable. Not only that, but if he gets it sooner rather than later the expense will be alot less. Glenda <glendamckee wrote: You are doing so many wonderful things to help your body !
