Unfortunately there is so much controversy surrounding FMS some doctors don't recognize it some do most still don't know what to do with it. I was being faceshus(sp) when I said fibromyalgia (whatever that is.) Did you know that it wasn't even recognized until 1990 as anything and that many are diagnosed with it when the doctors just can't figure out what is going on with someone. In other words when the allopaths have given every test under the sun and nothing coming back conclusive but they still have patients coming in with the same puzzling symptoms that thats when they are given the diagnosis. There has to be pain in all four quadrants lasting for longer than 3 months but the average patient searches for an answer for longer than two years before they get that diagnosis. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. Atleast my children were raised before it struck me. It is so sad for me to hear of young people with children having it.I know I have a funny way of communicating...but I was being sarcastic when I said that.CheersDar avast! My husband (has fibromyalgia) blames his problems with heat on the fact that he had a heat stroke when he was 18. First he stops sweating and then the tunnel vision and of course a killer headache, and this is at 60 degrees if the sun is shinning. Keeping him hydrated didn't seem to help too much until it included electrolytes. We try to keep cold packs in the freezer to put on his neck. It's always a worry that he will get stuck in traffic. Is there anything else I do for him? Monica Grubb
