You all are very correct in what you are

reading about chickens, eggs, pork and the so called ‘organic’

products on the market produced by ‘AgriCorp’ conglomerates. Labeled

Organic is not true organic anymore with the how the big guys are getting

around what needs to be labeled or not. And as you see cows that are fed

organic feed can still be considered producing organic milk, but in the

meantime, they are in confinement and not raised ‘naturally’. And

confinement housing is very stressful,

not to mention in my opinion inhumane.

Your best bet is to search out your local

farmer, (visit www.localharvest.org for a location close to you), visit his/her

farm, see first hand how they raise their products. Do they have their hens in

a dirt yard instead of grass? Ask questions. If you like what you see and hear,

support that farmer. Even if that farmer is not ‘certified organic’

most times they are raising their foods sustainably and as naturally as

possible. Certified organic is not worth my time nor effort as it is meaningless

to consumers anymore (IMO). My products are ‘naturally grown’ and humanely

treated. Makes for a much better life for all on my farm.

Emily, take your anger to the nearest friendly

farm, sit in a field, let the sun shine on you, listen to the sounds of nature,

and maybe if you are lucky, a herd of cattle or hogs will settle down for a nap

with you.

AMEN to you both! it is very hard for me not to allow

my frustrations about all the below mentioned to take hold of me and obsess me

to the point of illness. I saw a " cellular therepist " (Think that's

what she was called... you know, with the chakras and everything... really just

did it for fun) last year on vacation, found her in this little town in the country...

and she told me that I need to be able to better let go of the anger I have

towards the worldly issues before it kills me, which led me to personal

meditation and such... but it's hard! Especially when it's all around us!

Hi Kathy :)Thanks for the link! When I was growing up in Wisconsin, we used to visit local farms for many of our foods. Since leaving and landing in such a big city like Detroit when I was about 13 (mom re-married), being unfamiliar with the surroundings, etc, we did not do that anymore. I'm eager to check it out, and hopefully something will not be too far from me :)Blessings and Love always,~RaavenLegacyManor <legacymanor wrote: Your best bet is to search out your local farmer, (visit www.localharvest.org for a location close to you), visit his/her farm, see first hand how they raise their products.
