Guest guest
I am currently trying to get ridd of the fleas on my cat working from the inside out by putting some omega in his catfood but my question is the hotspots that he has made on himself what can I do until I can get ridd of the fleas to ease his itching and heal the outside. That is also the problem on why I am having such a hard time getting the fleas on him off because he has bitten himself so much that I am afraid to hardley touch any of him is there anything I can do that would help him until I can get the finnaces up to get ridd of the fleas to at least make him feel better on the outside? Guest guest
My aunts dog is doing the same thing right now... but he doesnt have fleas, just has allergies (to what, we dont know)... but his tail and butt are all bare and raw from him biting himself... and she's concerned she's going to have to put him down before he actually bites his tail off... I dunno... but if anyone has any ideas for your cat I'd be very interested in hearing them in case they might help her dog.... Lexi
Guest guest
Nooooo don't put the dog down because of the allergies. Cats are very sensitive and I wouldn't recommend using essential oils on them. I have 5 dogs 2 cats. First and foremost you must get rid of the fleas (at least in the house). For hotspots and rawness I make a spray. I make up a two ounce spray using essential oils of tea tree(it is antiseptic & healing), lavender (soothing & healing), and chamomile (soothing) in a base of aloe vera juice or distilled water. I would ask your aunt to make up a spray for her dog also to keep the fleas off while she is outside. The Tea tree and lavender will deter fleas but if you add citronella and lemon oils it will really work well to keep the fleas off. This second spray I would make with distilled water. There are other skin soothing oils... but they can get pricey. I hope this helps your aunts dog.
