Guest guest
Osiyo Nigadv! Hello All! Peanuts are not actually NUTs. " Although a nut in the culinary sense, in the botanical sense the fruit of the peanut is a woody, indehiscent legume or pod and not technically a nut " . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peanut I grew up on an East Texas goober (peanut) farm and we would not eat them raw because of the danger of infecting us with unknown maladies (today we know about fungus, mold, and candida). Goobers had to be soaked in a saline solution and then roasted for human consumption. Our pig leved them also. Many, many people are sensitive or allergic to peanuts. Today if I eat too much peanut butter (natural kind, which I dearly love in pb n honey sandwiches) I will get an alergic reaction of swollen facial tissue. Giant lips is one aspect. Eyelids puffed closed is another. If you want the full spectrum of almonds try sprouting them for a week. They plump up and become somewhat softer and their taste is awsome, and they digest very well. Eating a handfull of nuts a day will help as an antioxidant and also internal chloesterol generation. **************************************************** Fri, 31 Mar 2006 01:35:30 -0500 " melisa SHANNON " <melisa_SHANNON_132 Re: Re: appetite suppressant help the book detailed which nuts were ok. I know almonds were ok - cant recall if cashews were ok or not- I think they are. I just remembered them really singling out peanuts and ALL peanut products. but peanuts have always been in a kind of class of thir own. look at people with allergies to them. cant think of many common foods that will kill you if you are allergic to them. seafoods....that's about all I can think of easily. it does seem odd your naturopath didn't say something about it. hmmm- oh well- melisa ******************************************************* Love Bob Adageyudi Staya Udanvti
