Guest guest
Bobbie, In regard to your question about how amenable my husband will be about dietary changes, I think on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being an absolute change and 1 being nothing, he would probably rank a 4-5. He would most likely incorporate more fruits/veggies/grains and eat less red meat. BUT, he is not one to take ANY vitamins (they make him vomit) or take any foods that do not have a pleasing taste. He is an absolute " foodie " ~ he travels and eats out frequently. He enjoys working out, but doesn't have enough time to do so as much as he would like. I am also to blame because when he finally is home, I don't want him running off to the gym, I want him to spend time with his family! This blood test was precipitated by the fact that he had some numbness on the side of his face and near his ankle. Of course the doctor (to protect himself!) was concerned about stroke and sent him for an MRI and bloodwork. We don't know the results of the MRI yet but I really have no fear of it coming back with any dire predictions. As I said before, he's REALLY healthy : never smoked, never drank, never did drugs : has a really clean system. I wish there was a natural supplement that will help his cholesterol or something that he could take without it turning on him and coming back up. Any other suggestions???
