Guest guest
Hi.. Uncle Ben had posted a recipe for brushing with sea salt, CS, baking soda, oil of oregano. I feel dumb asking this, but do you rinse after brushing with this formula? It sure does make your mouth and teeth feel clean. Thanks Diane M

Guest guest
Hiya FFT, I use CS as a rinse after brushing twice daily with no staining. I brush by wetting with a CS/Oregano/Clove/Peppermint oil mix, dipped in baking soda/sea salt mixture. -Raine food4tot wrote: Uncle Ben from the silver list? Guest guest
Raine, Hi! My teeth haven't either, but then I rinse. The CS has accumulated in the shot glass I measure with, the generator I make it in, but those are easy to wipe out, the formica counter tops which are not so easy, the nebulizer I use to breath it into my lungs with, and even my water pic. I believe Uncle Ben used to say to rinse also because it can stain your teeth. Maybe we use way different amounts of CS, or maybe it's the baking soda. I use baking soda to scrub the tubs and stuff with and it keeps things slick and from sticking to it's sides, unless I wait too long inbetween cleanings... fft herbal remedies , Raine <rainelovesj wrote: > > Hiya FFT, > > I use CS as a rinse after brushing twice daily with no staining. Guest guest
Hello Everyone! fft! where did your info come from about CS (colloidal silver) staining your teeth. Was it from an MD (allopathic) based site?. I have seen so much negative diatribe about CS. I was in the US Navy almost 50 years ago and we used colloidal silver on a regular basis. My teeth are stained from tobacco and coffee but not the CS. I use homemade colloidal silver almost on a daily basis and I have not stained my teeth and I do not rinse after using it. I do not use Tio's (Uncle Ben's) recipe and only use baking soda and then rinse with CS to kill any bacteria. I have used nothing but baking soda since the 1970's vice toothpaste and added the CS just in the last year. (read the toothpaste label's cause it is dangerous for children and can cause severe health problems) I had a problem with re-ocurring gingivitis and the CS takes care of it on contact. I rinse with CS after brushing with a battery powered rotary toothbrush and I have not had anymore gum problems. I went to the dentist in Feb '06, first time in over ten years, and the dentist said I did not have a plaque build up. Maybe from the baking soda regemine??. Guest guest
Bob, You misunderstood. The question was " should I rinse after using Uncle Ben's formula? " I said yes, it can stain your teeth. It's included with quite a bit of CS literature as well as on the silver list. CS staining isn't slamming it. Matter of fact Uncle Ben himself was one of the people who told me that. Some people have soft or damaged teeth, some pitted, some cracked, some have front fillings, and partials or crowns. I rinse because someone was kind enough to tell me it may stain teeth if I didn't. I have gotten just as many good results with rinsing, so I see no reason not to. I rinse too now after drinking raw apple cider vinegar too, but that doesn't make raw apple cider vinegar bad, just not somethingI want my teeth soaking in any longer than necessary. Yes, the Navy puts silver bullion in the water tanks of ships and subs to keep bacteria from growing in it. Technically you could call that colloidal silver, I do. Not sure how low/high the ppm's would be, but I call it colloidal silver. And children do die in the dentist chair WHILE recieving flouride treatments and from eating toothpaste, many adults have too they just didn't " pin " it to flouride. I am glad you have such healthy teeth and gums and that you do not experience staining from CS. I also agree that using baking soda does have positive affects. fft herbal remedies , Staya Udanvti (Bob Butler) <CherokeeBo wrote: > > Hello Everyone! > > fft! where did your info come from about CS (colloidal silver) staining your teeth. Guest guest
Hiya fft, I have noticed staining in the nebulizer cup and the plastic spray bottles I use CS in... not so much with glass, which may be due to the ppm of my CS, or something else? (I don't test at all so I'm unsure of the numbers. I do use store-bought distilled water to make it as the water from my own distiller produced one fierce runaway batch, and we drink too much to take the time to run a batch through repeatedly.) It could also be the baking soda. Using it once daily (in the evenings I brush with an organic bar soap) might be enough to "stain-proof" the teeth? In the beginning I did have some grayish streaking on my teeth, but that cleared up quickly and I have no idea what caused it. Unfortunately after all of my efforts, I am still dealing with sore/bleeding gums and tooth issues. My next step will be Dr. Christopher's recommendation of Oak Bark powder... I love anecdotal evidence! It's the stuff real discoveries are made from! -Raine food4tot wrote: Raine, Hi! My teeth haven't either, but then I rinse.
