Guest guest
Diane, If she/he has Candida, she/he shouldn't do a " fruit " juice cleanse, she/he could however do a veggie juice cleanse. Rice is a complex carbo, which converts into sugar in the body. Anyone suffering with Candida should not have rice or any other grain, unless first sprouted (which then makes it a veggie). Japonica Rice can be sprouted, but this of course wouldn't work out raw, for people anyway. It is not a secret that raw foods only should be used on fasts or cleanses. I would much rather use sprouted seeds in the raw form, then trying to choke down raw sprouted rice, although my birds love it. I have to admit I have never heard of a brown rice " cleanse " or fast for Candida. I have knowledge on Candida because I treated my own. Therefore I had the compassion and experience necessary to help others for the past several years. Even though I do not consider myself an expert on the subject, with all the years of studying, doing and helping behind me, I can't imagine that a brown rice fast did much of anything to actually help her/him. In fact I imagine it did harm. In it's natural form rice is not only a carbohydrate it is also an acid food. Frankly, a strict diet of either wouldn't be good for any person suffering from NO dis-ease much less if they did have health issues, especially Candida. Acid incapacitates the immune system amoung many other awful things, AND, carbs in any form feed the yeast. Although she/he CAN have acid foods and carbs, they both must be kept to the barest of minimums. Hope that helps some. fft herbal remedies , Teddyberen wrote: > > Hello.. > I know someone who has Candida and can't do any form of a juice cleanse, but > did a 10 day brown rice cleanse. Guest guest
I understand what everyone is saying about rice, it is organic brown rice she is eating, not white rice. I will let you know after the 10 days. Diane M
Guest guest
I haven't heard of anyone using brown rice for Candida, but I myself have used it as a supplementary treatment to a colon cleanse. Brown rice is very high in fiber, and aids in flushing out the digestive tract. I am interested to know about using it for Candida. Guest guest
I cannot imagine rice of any kind being useful for Candida. It is a carbohydrate and thus turns into sugar.
