Guest guest
For 1/4 cup of berries, there are: 90 calories 24 grams of carbs 4 grams of protein Goji berries contain 21 trace minerals, including germanium - the anti cancer trace mineral rarely found in foods. Goji berries contain 18 amino acids, Vitamin E, and 500 times more Vitamin C by weight than oranges. Goji berries also contain vitamins B1, B2, and B6, which are necessary for converting food into energy. Goji berries contain Beta-Sitosterol, an anti-inflammatory agent that has been used to treat prostate enlargement, sexual impotence, and to lower cholesterol. Goji berries also contain Betaine, which is used by the liver to produce choline. Choline has been shown to calm nervousness, enhance memory, protect against fatty liver disease, and promote muscle growth. Hope this helps, Amber herbal remedies , jeanne_simons wrote: > > Anyone use goji berries? I know they are high in vitamin C etc. but does anyone know calories, carbs etc.? Guest guest
Goji berries are a variety of Lycium. New Mexican Wolfberries are also a variety of Lycium, but not the same as Goji berries. There are a variety of taste sensations- sweet, salty, tart, pungent, light. I've heard that the Tibetan variety are a little salty.
