Guest guest
Hello all, I was in a car accident 1 1/2 weeks ago. As a result the muscles in my lower back were strained and now hurt like the dickens. I was given a muscle relaxer (name I don't recall) and pain reliever (Motrin 600mg). For about the past two months I have been on this boards tyring to get away from " western " medicine and back to natural medicinals. Does anyone have any suggestions on making the pain go away (i.e. herbal preparations either external or internal, stretches, etc...) PS - Thanks for all of the information I've garned from the site thus far, it's been a wonderful journey away from processed onward to natural thus far. I'm not where I am going to be, but thank God I'm not where I was!!

Guest guest
Hi.. Olive leaf tea and/or tincture will help you to relax, both mind and body. if you have someone to help you, nice warm oil packs on your back will help speed healing... calendula oil, castor oil, bf & c oil would be best (bone, flesh, & cartilage) but you prolly dont have that just lying around. i would take the panther piss, to help eliminate the lactic acid that causes the stiff, painful muscles.... and additional Vitamin C. Lots of fluids. red raspberry tea works great with the olive leaf. blessings.. spot herbal remedies , " Ask nicely and I may tell " <p31ladee wrote: > > Hello all, > > I was in a car accident 1 1/2 weeks ago. Guest guest
Hi there! Sorry to hear about your accident. As far as pain goes, you can try a lot of different things, such as- MSM is a natural pain reducer. Arnica Montana is used to control pain. Devil's Claw is effective for treating all kinds of joint pain. Angelica, Kava Kava, Rosemary and Valerian Root are good for cramps and muscle spasms. Cayenne provides pain relief when applied topically. Hops, Passion Flower and Wild Lettuce relaxes muscles and eases lower back pain. Essential Oils of Jasmine, Peppermint, Lavender, Rose and Thyme are effective in treating pain. Magnetic Therapy Products offer natural pain relief. For your strained muscles- Vitamin A helps repair tissue. Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids helps aid healing and reduces further injury. Bromelain helps prevent swelling and inflammation. Arnica helps reduce pain and swelling when applied topically. DMG increases tissue oxygenation. Chondroitin Sulfate supports joints, ligaments and tendons. Glucosamine Sulfate helps form bones, tendons, ligaments, cartilage and joint fluids. MSM reduces pain and inflammation and aids tissue and joint repair. Grape Seed Extract is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Hope this helps!
