I was wondering if anyone knew what to do for an infant that has an

ear infection? She is 8mo old and in good health. but she had an ear

infection and i want to avoid antibotics.

Thanks Willow

Hello Willow, My son had and ear infection and what I did was two things. One is I candled his ear and then I put an ear oil in it that I got from this site. Olive oil, mullin leaves and garlic. But just olive oil and garlic also worked. Within 24 hours the pain and ache in his ear was gone. The baby is obviously too little to be candled but warmed oil into ear might help. Good luck willowtree101 <willowtree101 wrote: I was wondering if anyone knew what to do for an infant that has an ear infection? Putting two drops of Nature's Way Garlic Oil in my son's ear worked like a charm the two times he had an ear infection. The next morning the infection was no longer an issue.

Put cotton in the ear after putting in the drops, and have your child sleep with the affected ear up, so the garlic stays in place.

I have had great success with this...grate a small piece of onion with a very fine grater, collect the juice in a very clean glass, strain well making sure that there are no pieces of onion in the juice and put a drop on juice in the her ear with an eye dropper or ear syringe. Do this one or two times a day. Be well, Meganwillowtree101 <willowtree101 wrote: I was wondering if anyone knew what to do for an infant that has an ear infection? If you are breastfeeding express some breastmilk and put it in her ear. You can also make garlic oil and put a few drops of that in each ear.

I had good luck with slicing an onion and putting it in very thin cloth of some sort and put it over the ear and just hold the baby and see if you have the same great results as I did. I cant remember all the details, but I recall there is sulfur in the onion and it pulls the pain out somehow. Use her own urine as eardrops. If you can't get hers, use your own. This works wonders. Google "urine therapy" for more info. Barb
