Guest guest
This is very interesting Cathie. I tried it last week on the beach at sunset, and it definitely gives one a feeling of peace. I only did it for about a minute, but I found it very calming. With my current schedule though, I need to make more time for this kind of practice. If any other Herbal Remedies members try this, I'd be interested in your reports on it as well. In Health and Love, Doc Doc Shillington727-447-5282Doc Hi Doc, I learned about it on this site: http://www.solarhealing.com Basically, one stands barefoot on sand or earth (not grass) and gazes at the sun within an hour of sunrise or sunset, or, when the uv is less than 2 (you can check the uv on a site like weather underground ( www.wunderground.com ) cuz in the winter, the uv is less than in the summer. One begins with 10 seconds, then ads 10 seconds a day till a time of 45 minutes is reached. Then, according to this site, one should drop to 15 min a day and may continue indefinitely. However I have heard various reports from other sungazers who did not follow exactly to the plan outlined on this site, it is the only site I know of that gives a methodical "safe" way to proceed. Me, personally, I quickly developed such a hunger for sunshine, that after I reached abuot 10 minutes a day I started increasing my times a little faster. But, I have tried for the Most part to gaze during the designated "safe times"Peace, Love and Poetic License,Cathie
