Guest guest
I was talking to a Naturopathic Doctor the other day and we were discussing supplementing iron. Of course, I first thought of Panther Piss and the iron in the blackstap molasses. When I mentioned it, she said that the iron content in molasses is not what it used to be. She said that the high iron content in the molasses used to come from it being made in cast iron pots and that the iron leeched into the molasses and made it a very good iron supplement. She said that with modern methods now, they no longer make the molasses in the iron tubs so it does not have the same content as it used to and so she did not use it as an iron supplement anymore. Anyone have any information on this? Truth, fiction, misleading? Thanks! Elaine
