Guest guest
This may sound like a dumb question, but is fish oil the same as fish liver oil? If not, how are they different. For example, when looking at all the options, I saw " fish oil " , " salmon oil " and " cod liver oil " . Clueless
Guest guest
Hi There, Indeed they are all taken from the fish's liver when processed.Cold water fish such as Salmon and others contain lots of oil in their livers mainly. Not all fish oils are created equal and nowadays much has been contaminated with pollutants such as heavy metals etc.The very species that the oil is taken from are the main predatory species that concentrtae the pollutants so be quite selective with the brand you pick to use.I like and use the oil sold through Our health Co-Op which you can find online.Stay away from the cheap discounters such as W**mart which has really awful oil. Many have tried to switch their Omega 3's to Flaxseed oil however there is mounting evidence of this oil doing harm and causing tumors in the prostrate and elsewhere. How true this is, I cant say but im using Fish oil and can absolutely tell a huge difference between it and Flaxseed oil. Guest guest
Any recommendation between " Salmon oil " and " Cod Liver Oil " ? And yes, I'm VERY selective about any kinds of supplements I purchase (NEVER at WalMart!). I actually purchase very few, preferring to make my own or find sources in foods. I personnally believe that the supplement industry has gone the way of the pharmaceutical companies. They're just out to make a buck, and will willingly sacrifice quality for profit. For the few things that I feel the need to purchase, I do seek out high quality sources. I appreciate any and all suggestions for sources of high quality supplement companies. herbal remedies , don wells <dwells2530 wrote: > > Hi There, > Indeed they are all taken from the fish's liver when processed.Cold water fish such as Salmon and others contain lots of oil in their livers mainly.
