Hey all, I have been on the list for a few years. I've had both my fair share of

outspokeness and lurkdom over the years. I have also learned A LOT from doc and

the rest of the folks who are and have been on the list, so I'm feeling

confident that you guys can give me some suggestions.

I have been diagnosed with Meniere's Disease. I have grown quite skeptical of

M.D.'s over these past few years, but I really lucked out with the E.N.T. that I

have. Of course, she reccomended a low-salt diet to keep the fluid from buiding

up in my body, and therefore my ears. She wanted to write a script for a

diuretic pill. I told her that I did not want to take pills, that I'd like to

treat this with food, and herbs. That's when I asked her what she thought about

me doing some research about diuretic herbs. To my shock, she said that it was

fine and that she would prefer to treat it nutritionally, and that although she

did not know much about herbs and Meniere's that she thought the herbs would be

gentler on the body and that I could research it. Her only request was that I

keep a list the herbs and a log of what my reactions are afterwards.

So, after that long diatribe..... I find diuretic herbs that I can try. The idea

is to reduce and maintain the fluid levels in my ear. so I'm looking for

diuretic herb(s) that I can use on a daily basis for a long period of time.

Also, can anyone tell me if there is anything thing I can do to deal with the

vertigo after it starts. So far, I'm lucky that I have not had any nausea.
