Guest guest
Hello group...I am a new poster but an avid lurker and I am hopeful that someone will know what is going on with my eyes! Every year (for the last 3 or 4) around the change of season from fall into winter OR winter into spring (I have a rash now), I get a rash on my eyelids that is mostly painless but quite annoying. It is most perplexing since I use the same make up all year round and have not changed cleansing products in ages (10+ years). The rash starts out on one eyelid and is a little scaly and pinkish and then it sort of " spreads " to the other eye and now is underneath the eye where it is less scaly and more discolored. Does anyone know why I get this every year or what to do about it??? It always disappears as mysteriously as it arrived, so I can always wait it out, but I'd like to get to the bottom of it! Sincerely, Amy

Guest guest
Sounds like a type of eczema? The eyelid is a common place for it to appear. I know it sounds strange. Or could it be some kind of contact allergy? Either way, it's good to get allergy tested. You may want to see a (holistic, if possible) dermatologist for the purpose of getting a proper diagnosis, since many of these conditions can look VERY similar but treatment (even natural treatment) strategies will be completely different, and you'll want to know what it is so you can apply the proper treatment. If it's allergies, I'm unsure what to do, I'm sure others on this list may have some wonderful ideas. If it's eczema, let me know either on or off list...I've been an eczema sufferer for 2 yrs this week, and I'm FINALLY starting to narrow down its causes and get it under control to the point where it's almost not noticeable right now (which, if anyone remembers from this last summer, is a HUGE improvement! I may post a Success Story about it later if I can get it to go away even more and get it to stay away rather consistently.) Keep us posted!
