Guest guest
Simple and easy, Pammie. Coconut oil. It's all I use for skin cream, and I have eczema. I also use it as a makeup remover, and hair conditioner. If you want you can add various essential oils for specific conditions. -Raine pam couchman wrote: Hi everyone I would be gratful for some advice I am 56 with dry skin and living in the uk. Guest guest
I just learned from Cindy Jones on this group how to make face creams and WOW !what a difference, when you make it yourself. To make it creamy you need e-wax and steric acid, you add that to butter creams and oils and melt it down together and there you go, what a difference in moisturizer. After you use your own you will never want anything else. Ginapam couchman <freya_freya2000 wrote: Hi everyone I would be gratful for some advice I am 56 with dry skin and living in the uk. Guest guest
i would have my thyroid checked . one of my patients told me this week , that dry skin is the sign of a low thyroid . she is a RN and has other medical conditions - and she keeps herself well informed . personally this is new to me , but i am planning on checking it out . just like with everything else ... if you make your own creams and such [ which is good ] -- all you would be doing is treating symptoms , but the cause would still be ignored . just a thought gab : Hi everyone I would be gratful for some advice I am 56 with dry skin and living in the uk. Plus can I ask do you use it neat as a skin cream or make a more solid one with bees wax. Blessings PammieRaine <rainelovesj wrote: Simple and easy, Pammie. Coconut oil. Guest guest
Coconut oil with a little vitamin E mixed in. Make a mask of 4-5 peeled and mashed green grapes and 1 tsp of honey. Smear on face and leave on 20 minutes before rinsing. Jeanne
Guest guest
Thankyou Raine I will try that, do you use it just as an oil or do you make it into a cream for the face. Guest guest
The beauty of coconut oil is that it is solid at room temperature so you don't need to add bees wax. I do often add various oils- lavender, tea tree, rosemary, eucalyptus... depending on where I'm using it, and for what. Glad this sounds like something that can help you, Raine pam couchman wrote: Thank you Raine I will try some it sounds like just what I need. Do you ever macerate oils in it too for use.
