Guest guest
Sorry, these are the ones they're allowed to put into our foods and DO NOT have to list them. One we are sure of is MSG; but it too might simply be listed as "spices." Guest guest
MSG is a good one to start avoiding - as a flavour enhancer it encourages a higher intake of food - it also screws up the body chemistry as does aspartame - (banned in some countries but not in UK) which brings about symptoms similar to MS and fools the blood sugar balancing system in the body leading to hypoglycemia and eventually diabetes Nuttynutritionist - Carol Ann herbal remedies Monday, March 06, 2006 11:52 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - new research on obesity Please, If you could tell me what are the "hidden" ingredients that makes us more hungry is so that I may look for it on labels. Guest guest
The hidden ingredients are not listed on the label. They occur in such small quantities that they are not required to be listed by law. Guest guest
I read an article a long time ago by a retired chemist who said that they started adding msg, hydrolyzed proteins, etc. etc. to make the consumer eat more. These chemicals would turn off one's natural appetite sensor or would bypass their appetite control to cause one to eat more which = higher profits. No wonder one can eat a whole bag of Doritios without flinching. Jeanne
