How much vitamin c is in 1 teaspoon of powdered dried orange peel? How does anyone know this??? What kind of oranges are you using??? Did you get your organges from the South side of the orchard where they are bigger or from the North side where they are smaller??? Were the oranges ripe when you picked them or were they greener??? And on and on. Get the idea that we are not talking "Rocket Science" here. You could send your piece of orange peel out for analysis and the answer that came back wouldn't match the answer on the second peel you sent out a week later. 2. Does the vitamin c content degrade when dried? Over time? No it does not as long as you don't dry it over 100 degrees F. Please realize that it's the Medicos who get so damned significant about "how much of which". The idea is to start living a completely healthy lifestyle. Use these tips in changing your entire regimen. Whether or not you get 12 Mg of Vit C or 13 Mg of Vit C in a teaspoon is redundant. What's important is that you are: 1. Getting enough and that you can't overdose or hurt yourself in anyway possible. 2. Getting the right kind which is the absolute best for you and your family. 3. It's affordable and you make it yourself, thusly taking full responsibility for your own health. These are the important factors.
