Guest guest
Hello, all! I have made a new friend several hours away from me.. she is going to sell her herd of bunnies to me due to her health problems. HOWEVER, I " rather " she get the help she needs to beat this and be able to keep the rabbits herself as she is full of knowledge and love of the breed.. she won top honors for 3 years and is a very special lady. She told me she has lupus. The " genetic " type- her aunt died a few years ago from it. She was originally diagnosed 15 years ago but went into remission. From what I have gathered, a couple of years ago, it " came back " and the last year she has been declining quickly. At this point, it is affecting her female organs but the local doctors expect her to have other organs affected soon. She is very weak. She hasn't been able to stand for rabbit judging the last year (her husband went with her so she could sit and groom the bunnies and he would hold the rabbits while being judged). She can't even do that now and it is breaking her heart. I have asked her if she has looked into " alternative therapies " but she seems clueless.. if anyone has any words of advice, I would love to pass them on to her. She is at the end of her trust in her doctors but sees no other options at this point. Thank you!
