Guest guest
I have been lurking and doing a lot of reading. I would like to know how to even begin to start eliminating refined and processed foods from my diet. I would like to approach this in a gradual way as to not throw my entire being into shock. I have been eating more vegetables (frozen) - I eat mostly chicken when I do eat meat. My big problem is breads and sugar. I have heard good and bad things about Stevia - what is the general opinion? I drink a lot of herbal teas - very little to no caffeine, I do not smoke. I have fibromyalgia which is a big concern of mine. I take many supplements and have cut back on prescription meds. I am weaning off HRT from a total hysterectomy in my early 30's and am weaning myself off of Prilosec for GERD - do you find papaya enzyme to be effective for preventing GERD? I would appreciate any advice you can offer me. I have recently had bloodwork done and will be happy to share any results of this with you - I was also tested by blood for H-Pylori. Thanks Katherine
Guest guest
Hi gipsyluvr, Start reading my posts, starting with #77037 Each post trys to address these problems from a different angle and provide answers as they go on. Copy them off if you need to and underline the ideas which make common sense to you now and start applying these things as you understand them. As you start to feel better from applying some of the suggestions, share your results with others, to help others, then go back over and re-read the post over again and you will be able to gain better understanding and be able to help yourself more. I will try to explain more indepth and answer these questions you have asked in a better method so as to make it easier for a person to understand and be able to help themselves. But there is so much to share that it is impossible to share it quickly, and thus I am trying to lay a good foundation so people may help themselves. Smile Tis your choice. Guest guest
Katherine... My approach to this was to start slowly clearing out the pantry on each trip to market/health food store... my big hurdle was also breads and sugar. I use Ezekial bread, made from sprouted grains which is found in the supermarket and went over to pure maple syrup to kick off white sugar. We are blessed that our local market is getting more organic products, and the managers are willing to listen when we request new products. You gotta ask.. you may be surprised! As the all out clean out can be very expensive, we started slow with replacing all of the refined processed items and feel all the better for it. I felt immediate results with this and goin completely raw for a time. I was leukotonic at the time so i complete makeover was in order very quickly. we also take enzymes.. NOW has very good ones, but when i find papaya in the produce section, i harvest, dry, and grind the seeds for natural enzymes... tastes like black pepper! fresh local fruits and vegs are your best bet... and fasting is a great help to give your body the time to heal itself. I am living testament to that. You will be amazed at the difference in your health with these postive changes... others will notice also. I have no ezperience with stevia so i cant comment on that. blessings.. spot herbal remedies , gipsyluvr@a... wrote: > > I have been lurking and doing a lot of reading.
