Guest guest
I also find Magnesium helps me sleep better if I take an hour or so before going to bed. I take Magnesium alone without calcium. I recently had a Bone Density test done to test for osteoporosis and it came back okay, so I must be getting the calcium I need from the food that I eat, is this correct? Guest guest
Hi Katherine, Magnesium is an Alkaline mineral and it is able to neutralize more acids than calcium is able to do so, this is the reason it helps you sleep better at night. As to the question of if you are getting enough calcium from the foods you are eating, it would suprise me if you really are!! You will have to answer this yourself. Do you have any aches and pains? Do you have any cavities in your teeth? Do you get sore muscle's? Do you have to wear glasses to see good? Do your finger nails grow out nice? Do you get irritable and nervous or are you always calm and relaxed? And I could go on and on. Women require 700 times more calcium to stay Healthy than men do!! The body has to have a specific balanced ratio of Calcium to Magnesium to stay Healthy. If one is using mainly Magnesium to neutralize their body acids, then they are likely to become short of Calcium as most foods are short in the Calciums themselves because of the way they are grown today.
