Guest guest
Years ago I made some garlic oil for ear infections. Well, I can't find the recipe and have some friends asking for some more and I can't remember how I made it. Any one have a recipe for making it. I remember that it took a couple of weeks. Thanks!! Guest guest
I found this one, Kay. Note: I would steep it longer than recommended- like closer to two weeks. Mullein Garlic Ear Oil Have an earache? This will help soothe. Mullein is a common plant that is seen along roadsides. It grows a tall flower spike and the leaves are soft and wooly feeling. Mullein is used for treating inflamations and swellings. It cleanses the lymphatic system generally. It is also good for earache! 1/4 cup mullein fresh edible flowers 3 garlic cloves olive oil 1 bottle Change size or US/metric Change to: bottle US Metric 9 hours 5 hrs prep To Prepare:. Chop the garlic into small pieces. Place the garlic and mullein flowers in a small glass jar with a lid. Cover the mullein flowers with olive oil and allow to set in the sun for several days, or heat over very low heat for 4 hours. If you are using fresh mullein flowers, cover your jar with cheesecloth rather than a lid to allow moisture to escape. Strain the oil through cheesecloth and store your oil in a small dropper bottle in the refrigerator. To Use:. Warm the oil to body temperature by placing the bottle of oil in a glass of hot water for a few minutes. Insert 2-3 drops in the affected ear 2-3 times per day. If there is fluid oozing from the ear or any chance that the ear drum is perforated do not use the ear oil and consult your doctor. http://www.recipezaar.com/117218 Kaye wrote: Years ago I made some garlic oil for ear infections. Guest guest
Hi all, I've seen several posts asking about garlic oil. Here's how we make ours, and have for years. 1 gallon glass jar w/lid. 10-15 cloves of garlic(we have gone as many as 20-it's flexible since we grow our own). Enough olive oil to fill the jar once the garlic is sliced in 1/8 " slices. This recipe can be used in a quart, or even a pint jar. The more garlic, the stronger it is. We slice the garlic, put it in the jar, add enough good olive oil (whatever you can afford, pure virgin is the best) to come to about an inch from the lid, place lid on tightly(sometimes we have to lay wax paper over to keep it from leaking) and shake it up good. Every day for thirty days you shake it at least once, the more the better. When the time is up strain it into smaller jars and refrigerate. The used garlic slices we usually add to whatever is for dinner, or throw in a salad. Hope this helps someone. Bob.

Guest guest
Big Secret!!! Oil and Water don't mix!!! The moisture in Garlic or any freshly cut herb will cause any "oil" mixture to spoil and mold much quicker if they are used this way. You want to used dried herbs only with any oil mixture. The Secret to making an absolute great Garlic Oil mixture is to thoroughly dehydrate your garlic first before mixing it in with any kind of oil menstruum and this includes Olive Oil. In my Ear Formula, my Deep Tissue Repair Formula, my Trauma Oil Formula, etc I use completely dried herbs ONLY!!! Water and Oil don't mix. ;-) In Health and Love, Doc PS. DMSO mixes with just about everything and will not spoil any formula when added afterwards.
