Guest guest
I have a friend who had gastric bypass surgery and now has Hyperinsulinemia/hypoglycemia. They want to remove part of her pancreas saying this is the only solution. She has already drastically changed her diet and is eating pretty well. Does any one have any ideas I could pass along to her? Thanks, Collee Practice Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty
Guest guest
Hi Collee, Her problems come from eating foods which have been refined and processed for the purpose of extended shelf life and cosmetic looks. Eat only fresh fruits and vegetables and no Protein 5-6 hours before bedtime. Eat complexed carbohydrates ( natural foods - unprocessed). Read post #77077 for more info and learn about the acid alkaline pH balance of the body and change diet to provide foods high in alkaline minerals. The problems with high blood sugar and or low blood sugar stem from not eating regular meals of foods which provide for a steady balanced release of the sugars in the food into the blood stream. When refined and or processed foods are eaten, the sugars are released too rapidly into the blood stream , causing too rapid of a rise of the bloods, blood sugar, thus causing the pancreas to have to produce insulin to try to balance this out, this in turn overworks the pancreas and other organs in the body , eventually causing them to go bad and quit functioning properly. After this rapid rise in blood sugar there is then a drastic fall in the blood sugar , because the sugar in processed and refined foods releases too rapidly and not in a slow steady fashion as in whole natural fresh fruits and vegetables. When this rapid fall in blood sugar happens , this is the cause of people going into a state of Depression. It is impossible for a person to become depressed if their blood sugar level is maintained in the balance it needs to be in!!! There is a big misconception that sugar is bad for a person: To clarify this, it is only refined and process sugar which is " POISON " to a person! All quality natural foods will have a natural sugar mineral content which is very needed by the body to stay Healthy!! Refined and processed sugar of any kind is " POISON " to the body in any form!! The reason for this is , because it robs the body of OXYGEN!! Now what happens when you run out of OXYGEN?? If a person will stop eating refined and process foods and eat more salads and vegetables in the cole family ( cabbage , broccoli, brussel sprouts and other green leafy vegetables) along with green beans, onions, carrots, celery, sweet potatoes(good complexed carbohydrates), and for fruits, have good apples , pears etc which have been vine ripen (not picked green and gassed to ripen)and drink pure grape juice( highly alkaline, even the frozen pure concentrate with no sugar added) , then one will stay much healthier. I could post a link to a site with very good info about what foods are alkaline forming and it also provides a detail about the understanding of the acid alkaline pH balance, but I do not know if it is ok on this forum, if it is oked I will post the link later on for people to learn from.
