migraine - help

Hi,

I'm new to this group and using herbs. I've had migraines for a long

time and the doctors perscriptions come with some pretty big health

warnings so I've just been suffering with this.

Can anyone help?

A friend of mine suffers from migraines also. Someone told him to take powdered msm. He takes several spoonfuls aday with juice. He claims that he hasn't had any bad mingraines in several months. FRESH ginger tea may help. Grate some into hot water. Its harsh tasting so add honey. Eliminate any artificial sweenter from your diet, it could be a trigger. Smelling lavander is suppose to open the blood vessels to relieve pressure. Get some and put it into your pillow so your breathing it all nite long. These remedies are to keep a migraine from happening. Purple grape juice and apple juice added to your diet should help prevent too. I also have chronic migraines, I recently went to a chiropractor and

started on magnesium supplements and the migraines are GONE.

Hi Diane, read my reply to your question about calcium.

The epsom salt contains , magnesium sulfate, thus cheaply

providing you with much needed magnesium and also providing you with

sulfate which will help break down and release energy from the

calcium for your body to benifit from.

Of course if you have lots of money you want to spent, there are

much higher priced products for you to buy!

 

As a side note to deflect those who believe one must take them

seperate, my question for them is , why does nature provide the

combination of calcium and magnesium in the foods we eat which are

fresh fruits and vegetables??

But a supplement which contains calcium and magnesium in a compound

form may not be able to release its energy for the body to utilize.

This is another reason why the Oystershell calcium and epsom salt

work so well, as they provide for the energy release in the body ,

which is what causes the body to work properly.

It is my belief that Nature is smarter than man is!

I take a cal mag formula that is in a 1:1 ratio. I need to avoid dairy but if you consume a lot of dairy you might want to just take magenesium alone. I take magnesium citrate and I buy from NOW products. This is the website that I buy from because they have the best deals on it. It is under 5 dollars for a bottle of powdered cal mag and I just mix in a little stevia and water. It lasts me almost 2 months and it tastes lemony. www.vitaglo.com. I am sure there are many other formulas and retailers but this is where I buy mine.

 

A website that talks alot about magnesium is www.coldcure.com. George Eby's website sells a zinc formula for colds that he has invented.......... but if you look on the left side bar you will find a ton of info on magnesium etc.. He claims to have healed his depression with the use of magnesium. He is very interesting and I have emailed with him a few times.
