Guest guest
Hi.. I posted this twice before and have not received a reply as of yet, but I am desperate for help.. I am looking for a natural approach to allergies, vs. taking prescription antihistamines, and steroid nasal sprays. I have been given all kinds of meds in the past, and they do not work, and do not want to take them anymore. I previously posted I have contact dermatitis, also, which a form of an allergy, and was given cortisone creams for that, more antihistamines and they do not work, plus they are not good for you. Meds work for awhile, and when you get off them, the problem is still there. Any help at all to help with my discomfort at this time will be exceedingly appreciated. I have been reading every herbal book I have, but am a bit confused at this point. I have purchased something from health food store, but want some advise from someone who has had this problem, or has knowledge on this symptom to help me. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi Diane,I have lots of allergy suggestions as I have many problems with allergies myself. There are many things I do to. First, if you don't already have one, invest in some type of nasal irrigation system. I personally use "Sinu-Cleanse" and I've attached a link here that describes in great detail how it works. In essence you are just cleaning out your nasal & sinus passages by pouring luke warm salt water through there. It feels uncomfortable at first, but you learn to get used to it because it's so effective. Another brand I've heard of it Nuti-Pot. Next, when dealing with allergies, I make sure that my immune system is running at maximum strength. I take a multi-vitamin daily, plus an extra 1000 mg of vitamin C everyday, and 1000 mg of Omega 3 daily. Also, when my allergies really act up, I add nettle leaf (aka stinging nettle) capsules - several a day. I'm not sure of the dosage there. Also, I use air purifiers throughout my house to help clean the environmental toxins that float around. I am allergic to dogs and have a dog, so that helps with the animal dander. You didn't identify what exactly you are allergic to. If you don't know what causes your contact dermatitis, you might want to pay special attention the next time it flares up to see if you can identify the trigger (and eliminate that trigger). These are just some thoughts. If you have any questions, please let me know. PaulaTeddyberen wrote: Hi.. Guest guest
Diane- You need to transition as your diet to one of raw fruits and raw vegetables. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices should be consumed frequently. While starting this, you should cleanse your intestines to help the toxins flow out better. There is some intestinal cleansing information in the files. Or you could go to your local healthfood store and look up a brand called Sonnes, specifically Sonnes #7 and Sonnes #9. These products combined will help cleanse out your intestines. If your intestines are not cleaned out, you will find that any healing program you try will be uncomfortable because your body will be dumping toxins and it will not be able to eliminate them efficiently. This is called a healing crisis and feels like you have the flu. What you are trying to do is put your body back into balance. When you look at your body as an entire system and not just individual symptoms, natural healing becomes much easier. Externally, organic apple cider vinegar is great for healing the skin. I use this formula as a facial toner. (I put it right into the apple cider vinegar bottle, so the measurements are according to the bottle.) 1/2 apple cider vinegar 1/2 organic green tea (make a very strong tea, 5-6 bags and let cool) 1 tablespoon vitamin C crystals 25 drops lemon essential oil 25 drops lavender essential oil Shake up and apply liberally to any area of the skin. I use this on my face daily and it really works wonders. The other thing you can do in between is put tea tree oil, mixed with jojoba oil. Usually the formula is made with 9% tea tree and the rest jojoba. I think for your case you can use more tea tree, maybe 25-50%. Vitamin C in large quantities. Take 2-3 grams (2000-3000 mg) 3 or 4 times a day. You want to find your maximum dosage here. You know you are over your maximum dosage when you have diarrhea. When you hit this point back your dosage off a bit. It is imperative that you have 2-4 bowel movements a day. When doing an intestinal cleanse you may have many. That is fine. After your intestinal cleanse. You really need to target your liver. That is where most allergies stem from. When you get to that point, we can guide you on the proper steps need for this. Let me know if there are any questions.
