Guest guest
Katherine, The sugar " thing " is a toughy, this is coming from a person who once had an Irodologist tell me that I was THE biggest sugar junkie he had ever met, and he said " I treat many people " . He traveled from Europe to the States and his clients ranged from sports teams to who knows who. Yup, I was busted, I was the type who ate a whole chocolate cream pie for dinner, whenever I felt like it, which was often, very often. My pupils even had a slow response. Staying thin and ignorance were certainly not bliss. I was sooooo disappointed that I did not get a rave review after all of those herbals I had been using, and drinking and the herbal vitamins I had begun taking. I mean I thought I had to have accomplished quite a bit. (Had those feet dug in hard) I was not about to give up my god, idol, best friend and fix all. (sugar) I was also a little freaked out about what my iris told us all. I went straight home that very day and got rid of every morsel of sugar I could find, along with the white refined rice, and flour. I mean down to the red meat I purchased from the grocery treated with sugars and dyes. Salad dressings, mayo, peanut butter, cereals, shake and bake, ketchup, ALL of it. By the second day I figured " I can handle this " ...then the third day hit. Boy, was I ill, shakey, sweaty, mean and mad was a kind way to put it. I was VERY angry nobody mentioned I would go through that, they conveniently left that part out. Probably for my own good. I was dreaming about weird food like pizza, I never ate much of that, so I found that odd. Wellll, it has quite a bit of hidden sugar. My body was so addicted it was pathetic. I craved the oddest things. I stuck to it, I did NOT want to be under the power of ANYTHING. I immediately began herbal colon cleanses and high colonics, liver flushes, blood cleaners..... by week three I was into a healing crisis big time. I saw this as a good thing and kept right on going. The way I walked changed, my eye color changed, shoot the WAY I saw color changed. My body responded so awsomely I was in dis belief that we people could possibly feel that good. I had literally NO IDEA that I had felt soooo BAD all those years. I thought because I rarely caught what was floating around, hardly ever in pain, the basic mode of denial...I was just fine. What a lie that was. I woke up not tired anymore, I no longer slept " hard " , I craved nothing, ever, everything smelt different, no more hanging from the chandeliers, I very rarely got angry, I would go for walks and felt soooo good smelling the air, and watching the extra beautiful blue sky and green grass I could literally hug a tree, even the occassional pain in my knees disappeared someplace in there, just noticed one day it was gone. Food that smelled so good once, did not, my taste changed. Sweet potatoes and other foods were sooo sweet, almost too sweet. I went off of salt too, so everything tasted so sweet. I felt so good and happy I thought surely it wouldn't last. Well it did. I purchased a colemic board as after 6 colonics during 7 day fasts and colon cleanses I wanted to save money. They aren't as good, but they do work well. I would suggest that you enter into the sugar withdrawl alittle more prepared than I did, and have LOTS of buffered C on hand and calcium/mag (the lemon egg in the files), make sure you have ample B's, and by ALL MEANS Valerian, chamomile tea and anything else you find calming. Make sure you KNOW what you are putting into your mouth, as the smallest amount of even innocent looking sugar will make you crave again. You can't break that cycle like that. Get rid of it all. It takes 15 days of repitition to make a new habit, so know that going in. Also know that anytime you go back to your addiction, it must be broke again, like an alcoholic (a different sugar thing). For me it was easier the second time, (yup, I went back to it thinking I could handle it now, well you can't, it handles you) I was better prepared the second time. The balancing of acid/alkaline in your diet is something you should really look into. You will not get far with the fibro if you don't. Don't know how accurate it is, but I heard something about fibro and vitamin D absorbtion problems. You may want to look into that. I would suggest you also look into treating Candida, which means going off of not only refined sugars, which is nothing more than a lesser cocaine as far as the body is concerned, but cutting wayyyy back even on the natural complex carbs and sugars for a bit also. I would HIGHLY encourage you to do a few liver flushes. And hey, liver flushes are one of the quickest ways to BREAK ADDICTIONS!!!! You have to do enough of them, (one every two weeks) for this though. I was taught up to 5 in a row. Raw apple cider vinegar, capsicum and garlic are a few of my favorites, can't even begin to tell you of all of the wonderful benefits from each one of them much less using them in combo. Juicing, colon cleanses, heavy metal detox are all things you should look into doing. The files here are great, dig through them. Don't stop where you are, it can be so much better. fft herbal remedies , gipsyluvr@a... wrote: > > I have fibromyalgia and would be curious to see what your recommendations > are - I take several supplements - vitamin E, Ester C, B12, B complex, > Magnesium, Omega 3 oils, Glucosamine Chondroitin with MSM - in addition to this I > take home made Lemon Balm tincture several times daily - I drink decaffinated > tea and drink lots of herbal teas.
