Flu Protocal

Hello fellow members. Each year I send out a note regarding the flu to people

who seek my advise. I am a health care professional and have been involved in

natural forms of health care for many years. This year I am trying to be very

careful how I say things...People are so freightened and confused. I don't want

to cause additional anxiety. I am asking you to review my letter and let me know

what you think of it. Clearly it is not a hard hitting regimine it is going out

to mostly lay people who only tip toe on the fringe of alternative methods.

Probably like you...I am perplexed by the massive promotion and warnings

regarding vaccinating for the H1N1 flu virus. I was going to say confused

instead of perplexed but after thinking about it ...I am not confused. I am

concerned that the promoters want me to be and they are very good at what they

do. I can tell you that I know exactly what I am going to do to increase my

protection from acquiring the flu this season. It is the same thing that I do

every year and so far every year I have not had the flu. I admit that every year

I am mentally prepared to be humbled and am willing to accept the risk entailed

in this decision. That holds true this year as well, even though the warnings

are much stronger this year than other years.

I don't decide this without serious research and consultation with health care

practitioners that I trust and regularly follow. I am thankful that I only have

myself to make decisions for and feel compassion for those with children or

dependents that they must make decisions for. Here is my personal protocol and

recommendations for the flu season for what it is worth;

 

1. Hand washing hygiene to the max.

2. Daily nasal hygiene using one of the methods below:

• Neti Pot (follow instructions)

• Saline Nasal spray...a huge squirt with your head held back so you really

flush.

• Colloidal Silver Nasal spray.

3. Once a week I put a couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide in each ear and also

dip my

little finger in the peroxide, swab each nostril and then flush with the

Saline Nasal

Spray.

 

4 Oct. begin Influenzinun 200C Homeopathic, 3-4 pellets under the tongue per

week for 3

weeks. Wait 3 weeks and take one more dose. This is your homeopathic flu

vaccine.

5. Oscillococcinum 200C , 3-4 pellets under the tongue once a week after you

finish the

influninzinum.

Note that homeopathic remedies should be taken no less than 1/2

hour before or

after eating or drinking anything except water. They are especially

sensitive to

coffee and aromatics such as mint, cloves.

 

6. Daily multivitamin, extra Vitamin C (2-3 Grams). High fiber whatever works

best, lots of

raw veggies or any of the fiber products out there. Probiotics and daily

digestive enzyme

(Wobenzym is excellent).

 

7. Alkalize. Try to keep yourself as much towards the alkaline state as

possible. A pure

vegetarian is probably the only one naturally in this ball park. The rest

of us have to

cheat a bit. To mark this point I can tell you the sicker one is the more

towards the

acid state you will be, this is true with flu, colds, cancer or heart

attacks. In fact

Sodium Bicarb is standard therapy in every Emergency Department. As soon as

someone

comes in with an arrest we start pushing IV Bicarb, They are now using IV

Bicarb to

preserve kidneys when someone at risk has testing with contrasts. I just

try drink

some water every day with 1/2 tsp of baking soda in it. If I feel like I am

coming down

with something I have Alka Seltzer Gold on hand all the time and begin

drinking that

every 3-4 hours. Starting it early when you feel a little bad is the key.

There is a lot of

information to read out there about alkalizing. Read and decide for

yourself.

 

8. Daily rebounding and some form of exercise. Rebounding promotes movement of

the lymphatic fluid.

9. Daily Qigong or Tai Chi with some Yoga.

10. Daily deep breathing exercises. Dr. Andrew Weil has a very good set of

instructions

on his site.

 

• Stay well hydrated.

• Try to practice some form of meditation every day.

• Try to reduce stress in your life.

• Get massages or some form of body work.

 

There is much more, but it would make this too long and seem undoable for some.

Actually most of this is neither hard nor expensive. I welcome and invite

suggestions or questions for clarification.

 

If you decide the vaccine is for you, get the vaccine. Take lots of Vitamin C

and drink lots of water for a couple of days.

 

If you feel you are getting the flu. Many people can tell, go after it… Start

taking Oscillococcinum about ½ a tube every 2 hours. Take 5-10 pellets of

influenzinum. I take Alka Seltzer Gold or Soda Bicarb approximately 3 – 4 times

a day for a couple of days. Vitamin C to the point that your bowels become loose

then back off by 500 mg until they become loosely formed again. Lots and lots of

water with a wedge of lemon squeezed into it ( this will not make you move

towards acid). Deep breath, bounce on a tramp, massage yourself lightly under

arm pits, across neck and collar bone. This milks the lymphatics. Eat very

little. Unless it is the kind of flu that makes this redundant keep your bowels

moving. Sweat. One more thing, for unrelenting diarrhea..Bentonite Clay.

Everyone should have some of this in their medicine cabinet. A couple of

Tablespoons in a glass of water, drink it every 3-4 hours for a day or 2. This

is chalky tasting and if you have to, use some diluted juice to get it down. It

works and has many other great uses.
