Allergies in a preschooler, please help

Paula this may sound insane but how stressed are you? Is there anything

unresolved? Grief you may have not grieved, anger buried deep, etc. How is

your home? Is it damp? Has it ever flooded? etc?

Here is why I ask, my mother went through the same thing, was told she was

allergic to just about everything from the sun to the grass to almost every

food. She would get severely ill, was getting allergy shots, had been in and

out of the hospital, etc. At the time we lived in a basement apt that had

flooded at one point. Her and my father were having problems as well. When

they divorced we moved out of there and she never had a problem again. So

was it the stress of the marriage alone or the environment of the apt or

both? Not sure, but we know it had to be one or both that caused it. Stress

affects us in so many ways. If you are stressed it reflects on your child

and your child becomes stressed, which would show in the same way as your

own.

I had the same thing happen and at the time I was dealing with unresolved

grief, although it took many hospital visits and someone to point this out

to me. Luckily my dr told me ahead of time to ignore the allergist. I have 3

long haired cats. My dr told me the allergist would tell me they were the

cause of my allergies and to get rid of them and she told me not to, said it

would be the worst thing for me. Said the stress of getting rid of them

would only make the condition worse. Boy was she right! The allergist

immediately blamed the cats. I'm ok now and I still have my 3 long haired

cats. I wish my mom would've had a dr like mine when it happened to her, we

got rid of the family dog at the time. And ended up with multiple pets later

on. Also she grew up on a farm and none of the animals ever bothered her.
