Allergies in a preschooler, please help

Hello everyone,

 

I suspect that my 2.5 year old is getting allergies. I'm highly allergic - hay

fever, pet dander, you name it. The past 2 weeks I've noticed a lot of sneezing

and coughing. The thing that concerns me the most is my worst allergy is to

cats and she goes to an in home daycare with 2 cats. Now, the cats aren't

around the kids, but obviously there are always allergens around. She's been

there for a year and we haven't had any symptoms until now. I was hoping by

introducing her to cats early that she might not have the allergy. It could

also be outdoor stuff because I know mine are starting to act up.

 

That being said, should I make an appointment with her pediatrician and try to

get allergy testing? Should I try something natural or over the counter? I've

seen " Little Allergies Allergen Block " on the market - does it work? What should

I do?

 

If you could share any insights with me I would appreciate it.
