Herbal medicine; acupuncture and western medicine. It could be an ongoing infection or inflammation. It can be candida overgrowth, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) irritable bowel syndrome, or any of a number of health problems that cause ongoing stress to the adrenals. it could be just emotional stress. Your diet should be a healthy one and contain sufficient amount of proteins and complex _carbohydrates_ (http://www.buzzle.com/articles/carbohydrates/) . Avoid junk foods, coffee or soda. Also avoid processed foods, tobacco and alcohol. In addition, a poor diet including sugar, caffeine, hydrogenated oils, Monosodium glutamate (MSG, and refined foods further weaken the adrenal glands. Eat small meals every 2 to 3 hours. Fatigue occurs when the amount of stress overextends the capacity of the body to compensate and recover. You need to do some exercises such as yoga, deep breathing, walking or meditation. _Nutritional supplements_ (http://www.buzzle.com/articles/nutritional-supplements/) are important for nourishing and strengthening the adrenal glands. It will help restore healthy functioning of adrenal glands. People who have hypoglycemia are usually suffering from decreased adrenal function. Foods high in magnesium such as kelp, almonds, cashews and other nuts, brown sesame seeds, whole wheat, peas and beans. Avoid hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils. Avoid foods high in potassium such as bananas, oranges, grapefruit, raisins, dates and dried figs as they make adrenal fatigue worse. Vitamins helpful for Adrenal fatique: Vitamin C, Magnesium, Pantothenic acid, DHEA,, Niacin, Vitamin E, and B Complex. Herbs for Adrenal Fatique: Siberian ginseng, Ginger root, Schizandra , Ashwagandha, Milk Thistle, and ** Licorice Root. ** Caution Licorice root over a long period of time can cause high blood pressure, salt and water retention, and low potassium levels.
