Guest guest
I don't understand why people keep saying that Medicare is broken. It works far better than any private health insurance company I have ever seen. What's wrong with Medicare? Nobody I know IRL has ever had a problem with Medicare, except the greedy profiteering doctors who think they need a posh aristocrat lifestyle and can't afford it if they take Medicare patients. Some of the doctors I know who take Medicare are the finest humanitarian people I have ever met. It depends on one's values. I have plenty of family members on Medicare and SSI, and it works perfectly for them. How did Medicare and Social security help cause the mortgage crisis? The mortgage crisis was caused by greedy people selling risky loans to people who couldn't afford them. It was caused because the housing market bubble finally burst when people were expecting home prices to continue to rise. They thought they could refinance their home at a higher value when their balloon rate went up. Instead, property rates went down and they couldnt' refinance. Everyone in the real estate industry knew the bubble would burst, they just didn't know when. People were responsible for the mortgage crisis, not the government. The government is a handy scapegoat, though. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Medicare and Social Security. The healthcare crisis was caused when the health insurance industry started to purge thousands of people from their rolls because they make more money off of healthier people. It started when people started to have to pay 50% of their income on health insurance premiums. Now more people are without health insurance in the USA than the entire population of Canada. When people started to lose their homes the the economy suffered, and when the econony suffered, they started losing their jobs, and when they lost their jobs they could no longer afford to pay health insurance premiums and other expenses. That was what caused the healthcare crisis. , robyn howell <robynehowell wrote: > > Once you start it, you cant go back. It wont work. Name one thing the goverment has ran successfully. Medicare and social securtiy are broke bad. They helped cause the mortgage crisis. The reason health care is broken is because the goverment already is involved in around 50 percent of it. If you want to finish this country off money wise, just try this health thing and it is over.
