Guest guest
Some estimate that pharmaceuticals are the fifth leading cause of death for Americans and the leading cause of addiction. If these stats are true then are certain pharmaceuticals taken off the market because they prove to be especially deadly or because for some reason they've received more public scrutiny than other pharmaceuticals? The media thrives on hype and increases ratings by scaring the public about certain drugs that have killed a few people. The media has to weigh the benefits of a story that increases ratings but may alienate its corporate revenue sources. So why do some drugs which may have harmed only a few individuals receive much more coverage and are banned than probably many others that are at least as deadly?
