This is a reply from my learned friend who is 'almost' a Professor of Sociology,

to the email that I sent out to all recently, it's obviously rattled his cage as

his 19 year old Son is a welfare pig but - d'ya know, I think he is right!

 

" OK lets get political. The unemployed, the single mums, the long term sick

always convenient scapegoats, nice soft easy targets. I don’t know who wrote the

article but I think their vitriol might be better directed to the alcoholic

smack heads who gambled our country’s wealth away on the exchanges markets. Go

and test them fu**ers, if you can find them? I understand that the debt caused

by us baling out the countries financial institutes will take generations of

higher taxation to repay.

Unemployment is always necessary in capitalist systems in order to maintain a

low wage economy. Thousand's of honest decent people have just found them selves

dumped on benefit to this end. Just imagine if there was no unemployment – we

could all then demand decent wages! Capitalism has always maintained a reserve

army of labour for this purpose. There were the Irish immigrants in the

nineteenth century, women between the wars, Caribbean’s in the post war period

and now the massive influx of east Europeans.

 

I'd sure sit around en puff a bit of dope if I were one of those dumped on the

scrapheap!

 

Yup Britain is the sweatshop economy of Europe alright. "

The Urine test

 

(This was written by a rig worker in the North Sea - What he says makes a

lot of sense!)

 

I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my

taxes as it sees fit. In order to earn that pay cheque, I work on a rig for a

drilling contractor. I am required to pass a random urine test for drugs and

alcohol, with which I have no problem.

 

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people

who don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a benefits cheque because I

have to pass one to earn it for them?

 

Please understand that I have no problem with helping people get back on

their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on

their arse drinking beer and smoking dope.

 

Could you imagine how much money the government would save if people had

to pass a urine test to get a benefit cheque?

UK , and soon!
