Of all the things we can do for ourselves, this is likely the most

important.

Choose what we allow into the temple of our consciousness.

A simple guide, this email contains as clear an understanding as we need

to shop with awareness.

By observing just 2 simple numbers, we can bring home food that will not

hurt our bodies.

Please read this, jot down the number identifiers and for goodness sake,

pass this on to everyone you care about on your mailing lists.

For that matter, send it even to those you don’t care about; perhaps their

response will have them cause you to start.

NOW REMEMBER TO REMOVE ALL PREVIOUS SENDERS’ PERSONAL INFO BEFORE

FORWARDING, AND USE ONLY “BCC†TO ADD YOUR ADDRESSES.

THANKS

More and more alarming info is surfacing regarding Genetically Modified

Food! Now even your Physicians are realizing the dangers and have issued a

moratorium on GM foods.

The only published human feeding study revealed what may be the most

dangerous problem from GM foods. There are some real horror stories regarding

the consuming of these foods that I won't go into but info I have included

should be enough to make you want to avoid them.

The gene inserted into GM soy transfers into the DNA of bacteria living

inside our intestines and continues to function. This means that long after

we stop eating GMO's, we may still have potentially harmful GM proteins

produced continuously inside of us.

Put more plainly, eating a corn chip produced from Bt corn might transform

our intestinal bacteria into living pesticide factories, possibly for the

rest of our lives!

You can tell if a piece of produce is GM by looking at the **product

look-up** (PLU) code on the little label.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, physician and activist, you can determine

the following by looking at the label:

<_http://www.mercola.com/2005/dec/8/the_damage_gm_foods_can_do_to_your_body.htm_

>

* Conventionally grown food (not GM, not organic): 4 digit PLU

* Organic food: 5 digits starting with a nine

* GM food: 5 digits starting with an eight

Of course, buying certified organic food means that it is, by definition,

not GM. And these days, it*s safe to say that if it*s not organic, it is

probably GM. Dr. Mercola says that 7 out of 10 items in a conventional

produce department are GM.

NOTE: Whole Foods Market <_http://www.wholefoods.com/_

(http://www.wholefoods.com/) > prides themselves on carrying *ZERO* GM foods

in their entire

store. They say that no ingredient in any product has a GM source.

If you*re on the fence with GM foods, read this study

<_http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/0522-03.htm_

or this one

<_http://www.responsibletechnology.org/utility/showArticle/?objectID=293_

(http://www.responsibletechnology.org/utility/showArticle/?objectID=293) > .

Rats fed a diet of GM corn developed smaller kidneys and had blood

abnormalities. The study was conducted by Monsanto <_http://www.monsanto.com/_

(http://www.monsanto.com/) > , a GM food manufacturer, but when they saw the

results they tried to hush the researchers. Unfortunately for Monsanto,

fortunately for us, the information got out anyway.

So check out those little sticker labels on the produce and reject those

that begin with an 8 and choose instead those that begin with a 4 or a 9.

If enough people decline purchasing those GM foods, your markets will stop

stocking their shelves with them.

The only way I know to avoid GM in packaged foods is to purchase the ones

labeled Organic. For a while, that will mean NOT buying many corn and

potato chips but Eventually the producers of those packaged foods will catch on

and stop using GM products and will at least state on their label that no GM

foods have been used in their production.

Love, blessings & peace,

Suzy
