In fact under the guise of 'Consumer Safety' any duly arranged

'inspector' (even a certified RCMP Officer) can come on your private

property with no warrant, no warning, and search for any products that

they deem 'unsafe.' If they so choose they can administer fines, and

seize property WITH NO COURT PROCESS, NO COURSE OF REDRESS NOTHING.

Section 18(2) States : (2) The Minister may designate an individual as

an inspector for the purpose of the administration and enforcement of

this Act and the regulations. (ANYONE EVEN RCMP OFFICER - INSTANT

'COMBINATION OFFICER.')

 

Section 20(4) States : (4) An inspector who is carrying out their

functions or any person accompanying them may enter on or pass through

or over private property, and they are not liable for doing so.

 

If you don't know what this means *any* commercial establishment can

have its products seized and forfeited at the whim of any officer that

feels that *any* product is unsafe.

 

The RCMP will be zealous to attain this certification and use it in

their enforcement activities on the public.

 

If this bill passes they will be able to come onto your property at

whim, but must still get a warrant to enter your private premises:

 

21. (1) If the place mentioned in subsection 20(1) is a dwelling-house,

an inspector may not enter it without the consent of the occupant

except under the authority of a warrant issued under subsection (2).

 

 

But if you are a BUSINESS YOU WILL HAVE ZERO RIGHTS OF PRIVACY. THEY CAN

SEIZE, COPY, MONITOR ANYTHING. GOD HELP THE FARMERS IN THIS.
