Guest guest
Mohmad: Peace be with you. Its difficult to answer such a question with so little to go on. However, sometimes what others have done works. Friends have used Niacin (release assured), B12, and vitamin C to aleviate symptoms. I used Niacin off and on for many years to treat cholestral problems. I noticed that I didnt have the depressions that I had prior. To me, it seems to help with that- I am told because it helps remove toxins and promotes better circulation. I used 500mg three times a day. One gets a flush- hot- for about 15-30 minutes; but it goes away and is the sign that the niacin is opening up all the small blood vessels- a good thing, but a bit uncomfortable. Of course, if you can, a psychiatrist is probably best qualified to give you some information on treatments that specifically apply to him. The main thing you can do is to be possitive and supportive with him. The voices or other attending factors arent in his control, and he suffers I am sure. The more common problems are that sometimes things can seem to add up to a certain conclusion- yet there is more than one possible outcome; but one becomes convinced that the most terrible possible outcome will occour. And all the data seems to support that...it just works on the head subtly. But, many folks do quite well and live quite normal and happy lives with this. Its just getting some kind of handle on it when the symptoms are florid, and accepting and learning to live with it- like diabetes or bad temperment or anything else we are saddled with here. Get him to eat, walk or do something every day, and try to get him into some good routine activity- routines/predictability give folks a guide when they dont feel like it or when things are confusing. Hope that helps. Guest guest
There is nothing to worry about Schizophrenia. He may grow up to be a messiah. - mohmad_basheer wrote: > > > Dear Memberes > > Can anybody suggest some alternative treatment for > Schizophrenia, recently my 22 year old son is diagnosed. He was being > treated for deppression for last 4 years and now Doctor says he is > affected with schizophrenia. > He is reluctant to take food and medicine > I am from India,Kerala.
