I was thinking more on the lines that if there was a single payer health care

system then doctors would not be prescribing the amount of 'pills' that they are

now, nor unnecessary surgery. There is a lot of dangerous meds and lousy surgery

procedures being done now on people in the name of getting money for it. If that

stops, and all the dolling out of drugs stops, then we will all be better off.

What we really need is a very strong alternative medicine field and practises

were people can go in the green building and receive any number of holistic

therapies. And these alternative medicine clinics need to be everywhere

competing with the national health care system. The only way that we alternative

medicine can get stronger and have more recognition is by letting that corporate

health care system be taken over by the government. They are too strong now and

they will crush us when they are bringing in fortunes. Nobody can stop us

from using alternative medicine any more than they can stop us from using

marijuana which falls under the alternative medicine umbrella also IMO. We can

always grow our own medicine and form coops too with all kinds of herbal

remedies and products.

I totally disagree. Ron Paul has given us the correct model and it

certainly is not a single payer system A single payer system will

result in more government control of your options and is the ticket to

eliminating health food supplements entirely down the road.

The last thing that we need if we are interested in wellness as opposed

to fixing the broken parts is any system currently proposed by the

administration or a single payer system.
