Guest guest
EDP: More Good Than Bad _http://www.amsterdamkliniek.com/articles/EDP_More/EDP_More_Good_Than_Bad.ht ml_ (http://www.amsterdamkliniek.com/articles/EDP_More/EDP_More_Good_Than_Bad.html) I've been using EPD in my practice for several years now. I wish I would have known about the treatment a lot earlier, so that I could have helped a lot more people much earlier. Not only is EPD effective in the treatment of food and inhalant allergies, I also use it for patients suffering from CFS, where allergies don't seem to play any role at all. The reason being that EPD has a modulating effect on the immune system, and CFS patients, per definition, have depressed or imbalanced immune systems. Yes, EPD can have side effects, but that doesn*t mean everybody suffers from them. What*s more is that the patient, to some extent, can control whether or not there will be any side effects. Let me expand on this: EPD treatment generally doesn*t work like an aspirin, where you get immediate results. It tends to take numerous injections before any progress is felt, since one injection **builds** on the next one (cumulative effect). The EPD vaccine consists of a mixture of food extracts in combination with beta-glucuronidase, an enzyme. The presence of this very enzyme is absolutely essential for initiating the healing process of the immune system. Without the enzyme, the immune system doesn*t get triggered to modify its response and stop overreacting. So, in and by itself, beta-glucuronidase is the key to opening the door to a locked up immune system. People may experience different reactions after an EPD injection. The vast majority doesn*t notice anything bad whatsoever. A small fraction may experience flue-like symptoms for a couple of days; some get depressed; and only very rarely does anybody feel really sick. I have never seen anybody collapse or get admitted to hospital after EPD. Nor have I heard any other EPD doctors report these things. The reason I said people can influence their EPD reactions has to do with the fact that there is a fairly strict protocol which should be followed around the time of the injection. For instance, some patients don*t want to bother with a restricted diet, or have no desire of moving their pets out of the house for a couple of days, or insist on reading stacks of glossies (chemicals!). Doing this may turn on you, in the sense that 1) the injection doesn*t get a chance to take full effect, and 2) some people may actually create new sensitivities (this is temporary, but still unpleasant and unnecessary). To make a long story short: given the proper guidance and support, EPD is an extremely effective tool in treating food and inhalant sensitivities in general, and CFS in particular.
