Guest guest
Roberta- When taking coumadin the docs tell you not to eat alot of greens because of the Vitamin K , it thins the blood. If it were me I'd start eating a small amount of raw fresh greens and eating garlic which is a natural blood thinner too, fresh garlic, not garlic powder or garlic salt...but fresh chopped garlic on salads, in dishes while still on coumadin. Or drink a whole chopped clove, then two later on of fresh garlic in water. Have the doctor test for the coumadin levels and you should see that you won't need as much coumadin. Then, slowly eat more blood thinning foods until you can safely go off of the coumadin. I'd be drinking alot of water too.
