Guest guest
If it is really sever Prilosec may be the best bet although it is not " alternative " . Two years ago I had a case of that. It was so bad that it was affecting some sensitive nerves (may be vagus) causing me severe anxiety symptoms. This was more scary than the pain.so I had to take prilosec. If the pain is not that severe one may take some anatacids for temporary relief. But along with it one has to work on healing the stomach lining. L-Glutamine one tsp dissolved in some liquid. on an empty stomach. Preferbly two hours before meal and do not eat any thing for two hours. So AM and PM are the best. Along with it make sure the diet is alkaline. Lots of veggies(boiled), miso soup are good. Better not to eat raw veggies during this period. Eat easily digestible food.Another very good supplement to heal the lining is DGL, any brand. This is taken half ahour before or 2 hours after meal. Probiotics and soluble fiber are good too. With all these one should be able to wean off the Prilosec. One should do this gradually, taking half the dose for a few days and then use pepcid for a few days. Relaxation through yogic breathing (alternate nostril) and corpse pose is very helpful. There is a lot of stress in her work that is contributing to this. Does anyone have any remedies for this problem? ~ Lynn Koiner
