Guest guest
>What are the side effects of MSM and what exactly do these initials stand for?< Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane (MSM) is an organic sulfur just as are Chondroitin Sulfate and Glucosamine Sulfate. The main difference is that MSM does not upset you stomach the way these others do and it is much better absorbed. It strengthens connective tissue and makes it more flexible. Since artery walls are basically the same tissue, it affects them in the same way. It also makes your nails grow faster, strengthens them and makes them more flexible. All the while, it makes your hair less brittle and improves its luster. I take it and my dog takes it. He is a 15 yr old golden retriever and he looks like an eight year old. He weighs 80 lb and gets two or more heaping tablespoons of it a day in his raw hamburger. Oh, and it does nice things to your skin. In his case, it helps keep him from getting hot spots. Generally, another side effect is that MSM makes us smile.
