Guest guest
Hi Brad, I've had to deal with depression (and grief) since my Dad passed away unexpectedly this past February, and my naturopathic doc suggested folinic acid along with a B-complex and a good multivitamin-mineral supplement. Folinic acid is a more bio-active form of the B vitamin folic acid. He said to start with 2 grams and work up to 4, 'til it worked. I started with 2, and didn't notice much of anything...then I went up to 4, and in about a half hour the worst of the grief was over, and I couldn't believe it. The only downside is that it doesn't seem to last more than 4-6 hours, and then I've sometimes needed more. Anyway, the difference has been incredible. I still have my sad moments, but life is starting to look sunny again. By the way, apparently doctors have found that traditional antidepressants worked significantly better when they added folinic acid suppementation. I hope this might help, Elizabeth in Spain
