What they don't want you to know Alex : Another new discovery of The China Study: It was found after analyzing the data collected in more than 2,400 counties in China that the minimum level of Cholesterol in our “Western Country†was equivalent to the maximum level in China. A comparison of average Cholesterol level: China versus the US: Average in the US 215 mg/dL Average in China 127 mg/dL Another crumbling Myth about Cholesterol: That any level lower than 150 will be a health problem. In fact 300 mg/ dL was considered normal few years ago. In rural China 85 % of the population are below the average of 150mg/dL To a minimum of 70 mg/dL “As the level of Cholesterol was decreasing from 170mg/dL to 90mg/dL: Cancer rates were also decreasing!!†China Study T. There was NOT a single person who died of Coronary Heart Disease before the age of sixty four. Survey of 246,000 men in a Guizhou county Survey of 181,000 women in a Sichuan county This was confirmed by three prominent US heart disease researchers and physicians, Dr Bill Castelli, Bill Roberts and Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. “That in their long career they never had seen a heart disease fatality among their patient who had blood Cholesterol levels below 150mg/dL.†“Americans consume 135 pounds of fat per year, one ton for every 15 years, and 4 tons of fats and oils have been consumed by age 60†“90% of heart attacks could be prevented if the population’s cholesterol was 150 mg/dL or less.†Elias M. Next we could debate on coconut oil and cancer or the relation betwen an high cholesterol diet on cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabete, MS, osteoporosis. You pick and choose: one subject at the time.. It is good to disagree because each one of us can learn something.

" Me : I guess not. It is your health, your agenda; not mine. Good luck to the ones who believe in high cholesterol :-) You should read the book or at least part of it's 514 positive reviews and personal testimonials to have an idea of how important was this research for humanity .. http://www.amazon.com/China-Study-Comprehensive-Nutrition-Implications/product-r\ eviews/1932100660/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8 & showViewpoints=1 I cite : a massive series of snapshots of the relationship between diet and disease in over 100 villages all over China. The rates of disease differ greatly from region to region, and Campbell and his research partners (including some of the most distinguished scholars and epidemiologists in the world) carefully correlated these differences with the varying diets of the communities. Three international teams of epidemiologists participated in the research and it is not two or three blogs from pseudo so called " debunkers " with a bias that will change history of Nutritional Science. By the way Dr. Campbell is a professor of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University and The " China study " referred to in the title is the China Project, a " survey of death rates for twelve different kinds of cancer for more than 2,400 counties and 880 million (96%) of their citizens " conducted jointly by Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine over the course of twenty years. Not your average pseudo scientists research working for Quackwatch. It is not about disrupting liver functions with an whole organic plant based nutritional plan that could include fews animal proteins. It is about stopping the epidemic of cancer, heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, obesity, diabetes and unnecessary suffering for billions of animals and humans. I posted links to people who actually looked at the data the book is allegedly based on, and the data do not support the book's conclusions. A glaring example of this are the Tuoli people, who eat lots of meat and dairy and few vegetables, and have lower rates of heart disease than the Jingxing people, who eat the most veggies and are essentially vegan. Campbell is an animal rights activist who set out to promote an emotion-based agenda with dishonest, junk science chicanery. The China Study is laughable propaganda.
