Guest guest
You can't balance the hypothalamus because it is a part of the brain. Once it is damaged, you can't repair it. In thyroid disease, especially hypothyroidism you have to take thyroid replacement meds because if you don't replace the thyroid hormone you are lacking you can die. The thyroid gland is the master gland in the body. It controls everything. You have to address it whether it is hyper or hypo. All the anterior pituitary does is to release TSH or thyroid stimulating hormone from it which a healthy thyroid can " read " to know whether or not to release more thyroid hormones or less. But, if that feedback system is broken then the anterior pituitary doesn't know to stop releasing the TSH or to release the TSH and they thyroid doesn't know whether to tell the ant. Pituitary to stop releasing TSH or pump out more. Armour thyroid is a natural thyroid hormone that has been around for 100 years. In fact it was the Only thyroid hormone med used in this country for years until the 50's when a drug company started producing a T4 med called synthroid to compete with armour and they managed to brain wash all the physicians that synthroid was the better hormone replacement than armour and to only write for that. If you have hypothyroidism, you have to take a thyroid replacement hormone med. If you have hyperthyroidism you have to do what ever you can to stop the thyroid from pumping out too much hormone or the excess hormone can kill you, as well. ---- Don Allen 3/31/2009 10:34:51 AM Re: << >> Re: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia I would say balancing the hypothalmus and pituitary is helpful to the thyroid... sometimes we get into trouble trying to treat just one thing in isolation.. our bodies are a whole - the whole is greater than the mere sum of its parts ... these are like dominos...trip one off and all can get out of balance... Many of us are experiencing adrenal fatigue...from the stress and toxins in our lives... D --- ..
